The “Police Headquarters Building” is an essential, Category 4 facility which includes emergency power generation and various levels of blast and ballistic resistance, departmental layout, meeting spaces, training rooms, police and SWAT locker rooms, and central dispatch center. Additional features include a safe and secure sallyport for transporting prisoners, as well as storage bays for large SWAT and crime scene vehicles. To accommodate the department’s mission of public outreach, the facility also houses a large community room for public and crime prevention programs. Located in the building is a new indoor firing range for training purposes. The “Vehicle Maintenance Building” is an eighteen bay repair facility capable of providing service to both large scale and small scale vehicles from all departments. It is equipped with a complete vehicle car wash, welding shop, engine repair shop, parts storage room, and all administration offices associated with the department.
