The three story police building was $9 million and the six story, 321–space public parking garage was $11 million. Both buildings have state of the art LED lighting and lighting controls with intergrated window shade control as well. The new police building includes two sally ports, holding cells, interrogation rooms, a workout room with space for defensive tactics training, large lockers with electrical power in each for officers to store their personal items, three refrigerated evidence lockers, meeting and conference rooms, a number of offices and a state-of-the-art Emergency Call Operations Center complete with new data center serving the city network. All systems are backed up by a new emergency generator system. Both the police building and parking garage are serviced by their own elevator and have fire alarm, CCTV camera and access control system ensuring public safety.
